4 steps in my “Pop art” portraits…Warhol shot 1968

This post is for Andy Warhol who on this day  in 1968 was shot by radical feminist Valerie Solanis….I remember this, we used to go and watch all the Warhol movies every weekend. We were in the 11th grade, a bunch of art hippies.

Some artists have a commercial side to them, haa haaa just to stay alive….so I started doing these “Pop Art” portraits a while back. People love them, I do kids and animals a lot, but you know it helps, canvas and paint are expensive. I think the thing is with Pop, ya gotta keep it basic and just stick with the bones of it. Sorry the first pics suck, I was on a roll, and couldn’t quit to go outside and shoot.
