“The Long Ride Home” is a solo exhibition by Sandy McDaniel celebrating horses and the American West. In her paintings she explores the experience of riding through lands of wide expanses and far horizons, a key component of the West’s enduring mystique.
McDaniel has lived and worked as an artist and visual designer in California for over twenty years. Major artistic influences have been growing up surrounded by the rural landscape of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, traveling extensively in the West, and her life-long love of horses.
