OMG I just love Franz Kline. I would love to have been in New York in those days. It must have been such an amazing time. Just to hang out with Franz Kline, Robert Motherwell, Rothko, Guston would have been a dream for me. I can only imagine what the birth of Abstract Expressionism was to those rebel painters of the 1950’s. Art was about intangible ideas and emotions. Their lives, even today, have taken on an archetypal and mythical vision for most of us they are what we all picture as true artists.
Thank you gentlemen!
