I’m on the North Shore of Oahu. Haleiwa, shave ice, plumeria, rain in the morning on red dirt.
I love the doves cooing in the morning, the clouds over the the mountain tops and how the fog creeps down the gulleys along the top of the jagged edges.
Sweat, monsoon dampness, I smell it when I walk into a dept. store and their air conditioning is blasting.
The spirit is alive in Hawaii, it feels so much, it’s history, it’s pride, it’s future.
I love the possibilities.
